One thing every developer and builder should understand is that telling a successful story means tapping into all of a buyer’s senses. The problem though is that most real estate marketing campaigns are only focused on one of those senses – what you see, and nothing else. And the problem with that of course, is that no one reads anymore.

Did you know that the average North American read one book last year?Do you know that the average North American watches four and a half hours of television every single day? Just think about that for a minute. People are spending more and more time in front of a talking, moving multi‐media screen and less time reading novels or newspapers – and real estate marketing does not reflect that.

Every minute that goes by, an entire day of video is added to youtube. Yes, you read correctly: 24 hours of video are now uploaded to YouTube every 60 seconds. You can't overlook YouTube as a resource in your Internet marketing plans

Use video on your website

Most real estate websites, and websites in general, are like silent movies. Typically what you find on most real estate websites are a few photos beside paragraphs and paragraphs of text. In order to understand what the project is about I will be forced to do what most North Americans spend very little time doing – reading – and I will have to do it silently.

For most viewers, there is nothing interesting about words. That is why the average page view is only three seconds – people are bored silly of most websites and they are on to something new. So how do you solve that? One cost effect way is to leverage the power of Flash video and make engaging videos to use on your site.
